Free Yoga on the Beach

by June 29, 2009 • 2 comments

Saturday July 4th, Paul Zipes will be holding a free yoga class on the beach at 5:30 am.  Yogi’s will be found that morning, literally on the beach at Rick Seltzer Park, across from Mr. Surf’s Surf Shop.  The class is free, but donations will be accepted.  All donations will go to providing yoga mats to a U.S. military base in Iraq where soldiers requested them.

I’m just now getting back into yoga, and if you are a yogi, or an aspiring one, come out for a sampling of this area’s only stand-alone yoga studio.

Hey Jason! Thanks for posting this! Paul Zipes is a fantastic yoga teacher and even if you have never done yoga before you will be comfortable in his care! I have practiced yoga on and off for several years and returned to yoga when Paul offered classes at Frank Brown park in January… since then I have a newfound focus and find myself able to do things in class I never thought I would be fit enough to do!
These meetups are great for all fitness levels, ages, shapes and sizes too! How lucky we are to have the perfect backdrop for a wonderful workout… the beach!!
You can find out more about his classes, the monthly meetups and the ‘yoga for vets’ effort at http://www.yogaforyoupc.com
See you there!~
