The kids parade is just a minor add-on. You wouldnt make it long in New Orleans or Mobile. Kids love a 20,000 person parade, its their parents that dont.

Now it’s time to address the kids “parade”. The 5 floats, stretch limo, and a dog parade was lack-luster at best. We stood in out in the cold wind for a parade that started late and offered very little return for our time. To even call it a “parade” was shameful.

In an effort to keep the focus of PCB and Pier Park on “family friendly fun”, I hope the powers that be will take the Kids “Parade” more seriously and not put all the focus on the adult festivities next year. We simply can’t take our small children out to a 20,000 person parade in Pier Park, that’s why we came to the Kids “Parade” in the first place. Take it from someone who loves Pier Park and all it has brought to PCB… The local families in Bay County deserve better that what was offered up this past Saturday.
