Dubbed “America’s true sports car”, the Corvette has a long history of smooth lines, fast rides and adrenaline. And what better place or time of year to have a Corvette show than Pier Park in late spring.
Last year’s show had a great turn out with tons of shiny cars and fat tires. This year promises to be better with Vettes of “every color and vintage imaginable.”
The event is free and will take place on Saturday April 23rd from 9 am to 2 pm in the parking lot behind Buffalo Wild Wings.
Full details below.
Panama City Beach, FL — You probably know the song “Little Red Corvette” by Prince, but when you come to the Corvette show at Pier Park on Panama City Beach Saturday, April 23 you will not only see red Corvettes, and lots of them, but also Corvettes of every color and vintage imaginable.
The Emerald Coast Corvette Club will host its annual Corvette Beach Odyssey in the parking lot behind Buffalo Wild Wings from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. and they promise a spectacular display of beautiful Corvettes, known as America’s true sports car, plus music by a live DJ, a silent auction with a variety of merchandise as well as a vendor display from the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
Best of all, it’s free to the public!
Proceeds from the silent auction and car registrations will benefit the Taunton Family Children’s Home and the National Corvette Museum.
All registrants will re-convene at 6 p.m. Saturday at Capt. Anderson’s banquet room for the dinner (order from the menu) and awards ceremony. Each Corvette owner will receive a handsome 8.5 x 11” photo plaque of their Corvette.
Ten Sponsor-Participant Choice Trophies will be awarded and a Club Participation Award will be presented to the Corvette club that registers the most Corvettes for the show. The Corvette owner traveling from the farthest distance will also receive an award.
For show participants, an ice breaker and advance registration will be held Friday, April 22 from 6 – 9 p.m. in front of Smokin’ Butts B-B-Q in Pier Park. Beautiful cloth “goodie bags” will be given to the first 100 Corvette owners to register.
