The Old Airport Site is Sold

by July 10, 2007 • 1 comment

In the meeting that was held this morning, the old airport site was awarded to the Pittsburgh-based group, PCA Development. The final price was $99 million with $61 million at closing and $38 million over the next 30 years to come from land/property sale proceeds.

Part of the deal includes a letter of credit from PCA that the airport authority will be able to borrow against during construction of the new airport.

The old airport site is 715 acres. Google maps location.

Jason I’m currently working on a website for my real estate company in GA, where I buy and sell 5 to 10 houses a month and I have finally realized that I need to be using a website to increase sales. So i don’t know if you mind answering a couple questions for me but i figured I’d try. I’ve been loving your news letter for the past 4 or 5 yrs and if I was going to take anyone’s advise it would be yours, so here goes…..

What kind of camera do you use to shoot your videos?
What kind of video software do you use for editing? Who do you use for email blasts? (I was looking at constant contact)
Do you like that FlickR better than YouTube? And if so why?

Once again love the newsletter & all the updates you give me on the airport and construction…like the one on Thomas Dr, I really get all my info from your letter. I own 3 condos down there and i tell everyone I meet to join your newsletter, you should actually of landed about 30 more people this week after I sent out your insane kayak video to my email list!!! Great Job keep up the good work!!
