Have you seen any snow yet? Any ice not in your drink? Not here on Panama City Beach!  Nothing to do here but decide how to fit in all the unusual events we have coming up – WITH your beachwalks! What a great time to be on the beach.  Art, shows, free stuff, and – well you have to be pretty smart to be here, but folks every year enjoy Education Encore right at the foot of the bridge.

Education Encore

Get up early Friday morning; you won’t want to miss the chance to take part in Gulf Coast Community College Education Encore classes.  Registration is Friday, January 14 at 9:00 a.m. , but doors open at 7:00 a.m. Classes – in computers, weather, history-lots more – are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration is  in the Conference Center on the 2nd floor of the Student Union East Building.

Art Show

“Colors, Patterns and Textures” is an exhibit by Melissa Arrant. Don’t miss this opening at the Amelia G. Tapper Center for the Arts right over the bridge – town style art right here on the beach. January 14–February 4 Gulf Coast Community College.

Second  Annual Battle Of The Batons

Curious when the Mardi Gras parade will be this year. Maybe too late this year to be considered a Winter event.

Mardi Gras parades are scheduled for 2/19 downtown, 2/26 St Andrews and 3/5 Pier Park! The PC Parrotheads will have their float in all three plus the kids parade! Can’t wait!
